Re-evaluate judges’ comments and set goals going forward:
The judges urge you to start with a comprehensive survey of the resources that already exist, as this may end up saving you a good deal of time and effort
For example, does the government provide refugees with social workers who are already doing some of what you plan to do? What are organizations like United Way already doing to connect people in need with help? Do state and local governments already provide translations of important forms? Once you know these kinds of things, you can find ways to make your website distinctive and helpful.
They also suggest that there may be other community organizations that might be happy to help with funding and support for your project.
Goal-Setting:
Tristan: Will create team website // Will pick up VISA card and buy website stuff etc. etc.
Erin and Fatime: Do research on United Way about what they are already doing to connect people in need with help
Eli: Look into if state and local government already provide translations of important forms
McKenzie: Look into other government programs already in place, other programs like United Way // look into other community organizations that might provide funds
